Well, at long last, I have done the unthinkable. That's right, I have gone one entire year without an update. And even that was just a random blog post.
Without touching my site for over a year, a few things have happened. For one, a proper administration system was never implemented...and I'm in fact posting this by going into the bowels of my site and inserting stuff directly into the database. In case you're wondering...yeah, it's pretty hardcore stupid.
Also, recently...somehow, my site has become the target of spambots. Even installing something into the system to prevent it has proved useless. I don't even know how they're getting through, really, and I don't understand why people think that kind of stuff actually works.
Another strange thing that's happened is the falling apart of my site itself. The entire blog system has been falling apart for some reason. Also, my coded forum has been acting strangely. It's odd that they both worked very well, and then without any changes...they fall apart.
So, here they are...everything that's coming up for my site this year. And no, this is no April Fool's. These are actual things that will launch before December 31, 2008.
1.) Redesign. I have asked a web designer to create a new, awesome design for my site. He has done an awesome job, and as soon as money changes hands, I will be in possession of it.
2.) Recoded back-end. I am going to recode my entire site from scratch. There are problems with they current system...major problems...and I believe they are too large to correct. So I will be completely remaking it. Just like Puritans and Separatists. Yes, I just compared my site to the Catholic church.
3.) Fully functional member system. It will include the blog comments (and maybe even blog posts OHHHH), the brand new forum I will be coding, and perhaps other things in the future. It'll be good, I promise.
So, there you go. Three things. One year. Have a good April Fool's Day, don't believe anything you see.
